We are delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded the London Healthy Workplace Award. It’s an accreditation scheme led by the Mayor of London, supported by Public Health England. This award means we have met a set of standards in supporting our employee’s health and wellbeing.

Being part of this community of London employers means a lot to us. It’s no secret that there’s a shortage of staff in hospitality during this current climate. We want to be part of the push that makes our industry a more fulfilling and happy place to establish a career.

So, how does this improve things at Fooditude? First and foremost, it helps us to maintain a healthy and happy workforce. Our employees matter to us!

Secondly, it helps us attract and retain the best talent by recognising Fooditude as a top employer in London. With the best of the best, we can provide smoother operations, tasty cooking and a friendly front-of-house team.

The verifiers from the London Healthy Workplace Award took a look at how we do things at Fooditude. They liked how our internal communications engaged with employees, our paid day off for volunteering, our free meals and our wellbeing and nutrition workshops – amongst many other things!

But our mission to make Fooditude an even better place to work doesn’t stop there. Moving forwards, the accreditation gives us a clear structure for developing an internal health & wellbeing initiative.

Some of our new projects include a wellbeing calendar to focus on critical topics within our team, including mental health. We’re also starting a People Pod, where employees can share valuable feedback and ensure that we’re doing everything possible to ace the criteria set out by the London Healthy Workplace Award.
